Are there rules or restrictions at the Missouri?
Since Ford Island is an active military base, access is tightly restricted, and guests must stay within the immediate vicinity when not on a shuttle bus.
As an active museum and historical site, visitors are asked to stay within designated areas and avoid loud noise on board the Battleship. The ship has limited accessibility for those with mobility issues due to its steep ladders and narrow passageways.
So be prepared for some walking and climbing. Pets are not allowed except for service animals.
Set on Ford Island, which you can access from the Main Visitor Center, it’s one of the biggest memorials at Pearl Harbor. We’ve shared the deck of the Missouri with guests of all ages, from school kids to WWII veterans. That moment of stepping into history never gets old.
