Pacific Fleet submarine Museum
The USS Bowfin was launched exactly one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor and soon became one of the most successful submarines of World War II.
She served in the Pacific, particularly in the Sea of Japan, and played a key role in sinking enemy ships and cutting off the Empire’s supply lines.
Explore its narrow quarters and get a real sense of what life was like aboard for its brave crew credited with sinking 16 enemy vessels.
USS Bowfin Options & Tickets
Reservations are not required for general admission, though the Captain’s Tour is available by advance arrangement via phone. The experience is smooth and especially engaging for families. But there is a minimum age of 4 for safety in the submarine’s confined spaces.
