Halia Tours and Transportation Terms
Can we bring food or drinks into the vehicle?
Yes! Guests are welcome to bring drinks with secure lids. To keep the vehicle comfortable and clean for everyone, we ask for the following considerations.
- Food and drinks during the tour are purchased a la carte by guests.
- Any beverages brought into the van must have a lid to prevent spills.
- Please avoid foods that are:
- Strong smelling
- Sticky or messy
- Likely to stain or spill
Following these simple guidelines helps ensure a pleasant environment for everyone on board.
What behavior is expected during the tour?
Guests are encouraged to treat fellow travelers and staff with kindness and respect, following the Golden Rule.
To maintain a welcoming environment, guests should:
- Be respectful to fellow travelers and staff
- Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or abusive behavior
- Follow staff instructions and tour guidelines
Verbal abuse, harassment, or unsafe actions are not allowed. If they occur, the tour may end immediately for safety, without refund.

What safety measures are in place during tours?
Yes. We follow strict safety procedures to protect guests and staff while on the tour. Our Tour Safety Policy covers:
- Vehicle safety standards and inspections
- Proper use of seatbelts and safety equipment
- Staff training for emergency preparedness
- Compliance with Hawaii State safety regulations
What safety rules apply while riding in the vehicle?
Seatbelts must remain fastened at all times, and vehicle doors should only be operated by staff.

Vehicle Doors:
- Guests should not open or operate doors
- Our staff will assist with entry and exit

Can a private tour end early or service be refused?
Yes. To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, we must reserve the right to refuse service or end a tour. Especially if a guest’s behavior is unsafe or violates policies, for the safety and comfort of all.
Outside 72 Hours
- Refunded in accordance with 72 hour cancellation policy.
Within 72 Hours
- If misconduct occurs within the cancellation window or during the tour, service may be terminated without refund.
Examples include:
* Endangering other guests
* Aggressive or disruptive behavior
* Refusal to follow safety instructions
How are your reservations and souvenirs confirmed?
Reservations are confirmed once full payment is received via credit card.
- Most tours require advance reservations
- No tour or merchandise order is secured until payment is completed
- Confirmation occurs once the payment is successfully processed
What is Halia Private Tours cancellation and refund policy?
Private tours canceled 72 hours or more in advance receive a 95% refund.
Travel plans can change, and our refund policies are designed to give you flexibility and peace of mind. For extra protection, consider trip insurance to safeguard your booking in case the unexpected happens.

Are audio tours or merchandise refundable?
Audio tours are non-refundable once the access code is purchased, while merchandise may be returned within 30 days if unused and in original packaging.
Self-Guided Audio Tours: No refunds after the access code is recieved.
Merchandise: Returns accepted within 30 days
- Items must be unused and in original packaging
- Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility
Are guests responsible for damages or cleaning fees?
Yes. Guests may be responsible for repair costs, replacement costs, lost revenue, or cleaning fees if damage occurs.
To maintain vehicle quality:
- Guests may be charged for damage to vehicles or equipment
- If equipment cannot be used due to damage, lost revenue may apply
- Excessive spills, dirt, or bodily fluids may result in a $500 cleaning fee
Do third-party vendors have their own policies?
Yes. Some tours include third-party attractions that operate under their own policies.
Partners such as:
- Kualoa Ranch
- Pearl Harbor attractions
May have separate rules for:
- Refunds
- Cancellations
- Rescheduling

- We aim to resolve concerns directly with guests first.
- If necessary, disputes will be handled through mediation before legal action in Hawaii jurisdiction.

Photos taken using company equipment remain part of our collection to help tell the story of your experience, while any photos you take are yours and will never be sold. All other company content and materials remain protected by copyright.
