  • Swimming: Swimming is never recommended due to substantial shore breaks and powerful currents. Only experienced bodyboarders and bodysurfers should enter the water, and it’s crucial to consult with a lifeguard before doing so.
  • Alcohol and Smoking: Consumption of alcohol and smoking is prohibited at Sandy Beach Park.
  • Pets: Dogs are not allowed on the beach but there is a massive park.
  • Shade and Amenities: The beach has no shade, so bring an umbrellas or tents. There are restrooms, showers, and picnic tables available for public use.
  • Lifeguards: Sandy Beach Park is staffed with lifeguards daily from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, providing safety for beachgoers. But especially in places like this, keep in mind, they have families that want to see them come home. So please donʻt put yourself, or them, in unneccessary danger.
